Apprenticship as Bodymaker (in the 4th Generation of car body makers ).
Plays Guitar in a German Skiffle-Band.Hitchhiked to England in 1966, earned his pocket money busking.
Played at many Flea-Markets and in the renowned Marquee-Club in London.
Returned with an MG TA (Cost £65) , because TCs were a bit more expensive.
Studied at the Car Body (Wagenbau) school in Hamburg, graduating in 1968.
Worked as a Constructor for Aircraft, Ships, Hydraulics and Tanks
In 1973 left the drawing board and joined his fathers body making business.
In 1975 he invented and created MIKE SANDER'S KORROSIONSSCHUTZFETT (Rust Prevention Grease).
In America he completely rebuilt (recreated) a Mercedes 540 K Special Roadster.
1990 he moved into new working premises and house in Horst (near Hamburg).
At last enough space for his 15 car (!) collection.
Married his prettiest Apprentice - Renate and their 2 kids (Henry and Martin) were soon born.

Dreams: Most of them have come true: except to be able to have all customer cars finished or one day
to drive his unrestored Lamborgini or a super walnut harvest.
Favorite drink: Jever Pilsner (German beer) , even low alcohol.
Favorite pasttime: To produce an "undetectable" restoration or repairing engines or anything mechanical
according to the Workshop Manual or better.
Second favorite pasttime: Bad tempered exchange of letters with companies and Govt. departments.
Weekend Hobby: Gourmet-BBQ and campfire mit Family and Friends.
Loves: his family, cars, his 'castle' and especially his walnut trees in his orchard.
Hates: Rust, bad quality repro-parts, damage caused by previous 'restaurations', stupid designers,
sound engineers, and the 'bad manager' politicians.
